The Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI) is the premier independent professional standards body for the mediation industry in Singapore and the region.
SIMI was incorporated on 15 July 2014 as a non-profit organization supported by the Ministry of Law. SIMI is a subsidiary of the National University of Singapore (NUS) and is housed at the NUS Faculty of Law. SIMI is headed by an international Board of Directors with representatives from both mediation practitioners as well as corporate users of mediation. SIMI works closely with both domestic and international mediation bodies, and is partnered with the International Mediation Institute (IMI). The IMI is a non-profit public interest initiative to drive transparency and high competency standards into mediation practice across all fields, worldwide.
SIMI aims to apply and enforce world-class standards of mediation, to provide impartial information about mediation, to make tools available to parties to make basic decisions about mediation, and to promote mediation education and awareness.

Accredited as Mediator Level 1 with Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI) since 2024, Mr. CHHEAV Narath’s areas of focus are labour and commercial disputes resolutions. Fluent in both French and English, and a native of Cambodia, Mr. CHHEAV Narath’s extensive understanding of many cultural business practices allows him to support clients in settling conflicts in a respectful, courteous, and amicable manner.
Mr. CHHEAV Narath is the MD of COGEN Consulting Group, providing HR consulting, labour compliance, soft skills trainings and recruitment services. He is also the Managing Partner of ING LAW, providing legal services in Cambodia. Currently, he also serves the roles as a Board Member and the Chairman of HR Committee at European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (EuroCham), a Senior Advisor, and a Member of Council in the Business & HR sector in Cambodia.
A soft skills trainer, a university lecturer and a human development enthusiast, he has experiences in leadership & motivation training to empower people in several countries in Asia and Europe.
Graduated his master’s degree from France, he has been a Business & HR practitioner in promoting foreign investment, business expansion, job creation and human resources development in Cambodia.
