Clearly define and frame workplace problems.
Differentiate between symptoms and root causes.
Apply key tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and SCAMPER.
Prioritize solutions using evaluation matrices.
Use decision-making models to choose optimal actions.
Facilitate simple problem-solving conversations in teams.

MODULES:
Module 1: Framing the Right Problem
This session helps participants distinguish real problems from surface-level symptoms. They will learn how to reframe issues using the Problem Statement Canvas and apply SMART thinking and gap analysis to define problems clearly. The session also introduces tools for understanding stakeholder dynamics, competing objectives, and desired outcomes in complex environments.
Module 2: Root Cause Diagnosis & Systems Thinking
Participants will explore root cause tools like the 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams to go deeper into problem analysis. They will learn how to map systemic issues, not just isolated events, using systems thinking and causal mapping. This session encourages a shift from reactive fixes to preventative thinking for sustainable solutions.
Module 3: Creative & Critical Thinking for Solutions
This session equips participants with tools to spark creativity and apply critical thinking when generating solutions. They will practice using Brainwriting, SCAMPER, and Reverse Thinking to challenge assumptions and explore new angles. Emphasis is placed on managing both divergent and convergent thinking phases when solving problems as a team.
Module 4: Prioritization, Decision Making & Action Planning
The final session focuses on how to prioritize and evaluate solutions under real-world constraints. Participants will apply tools like the Impact–Effort Matrix, MoSCoW prioritization, and Decision Matrix to make confident choices. They will then develop clear and realistic action plans to move from insights to implementation with confidence and clarity.
