CDC: Registration of 51 Investment Projects with a Total Capital of Approximately USD 608 Million

51 investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately US$608 million were registered by the Cambodia Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia in August 2025.

In August 2025, the Cambodia Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia decided to register a total of 51 investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately US$608 million and the potential to create approximately 27,000 jobs. Of the total investment projects, 35 were located outside special economic zones and 16 were located within special economic zones. In the first eight months of 2025, the CIC decided to register 491 investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately US$7.2 billion, an increase of 204 investment projects, or approximately 71%, while the investment capital increased by approximately US$2.5 billion, or approximately 50%, compared to the same period in 2024. It is noteworthy that compared to the investment projects registered in 2024, which were only 414 projects, in these eight months, the CIC registered 77 more investment projects than the investment projects registered in the entire year 2024.

The prominent investment projects for August 2025 are as follows:

A. Outside the Special Economic Zone

Agriculture and agro-industry

Investment project to establish a fruit processing factory

• Location: Ratan Mondul District, Battambang Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$27 million

• Job creation: 1,160 jobs.

Industry

Investment project to establish a rubber processing factory

• Location: Memot District, Tbong Khmum Province

• Approximate investment amount: 8.7 million US dollars

• Job creation: 140 jobs.

B. In special economic zones

Industry

Investment project to establish a factory to produce all kinds of structural steel

• Location: Chi Lu, Jean Pu Chay Special Economic Zone, Svay Rieng Province

• Approximate investment amount: 17 million US dollars

• Job creation: 363 jobs.

Infrastructure

Investment project to establish a factory to produce clean water, purify water, and supply electricity

• Location: Cambodian Cheung Gorchi Special Economic Zone, located in Preah Sihanouk Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$11 million

• Job creation: 92 jobs.

Tourism

Investment project to build and operate a 4-star hotel with 100 rooms

• Location: Svay Rieng Special Economic Zone, Giga Resources, located in Svay Rieng Province

• Approximate investment amount: 8 million US dollars

• Job creation: 201 jobs.
