CDC: Registration of 33 Investment Projects with a Total Capital of Approximately USD 525 Million

33 investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately US$525 million were registered in Cambodia.

In July 2026, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and the Capital-Provincial Investment Sub-Committees (CPISCs) approved the registration of a total of 33 investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately US$525 million and capable of creating approximately 17,000 jobs for citizens. Among the above investment projects, 23 projects were registered by the CDC with an investment capital of approximately US$494 million and capable of creating approximately 9,000 jobs. In particular, 10 investment projects were registered by the CPISCs with an investment capital of approximately US$31 million and capable of creating approximately 8,000 jobs. It is noteworthy that during the first 7 months of 2026, Cambodia continued to attract quality investment projects, especially in the infrastructure and tourism sectors, which saw an increase in investment capital, while the industrial sector remained the leading sector in attracting investment.

A. Outside the Special Economic Zone

Agriculture & Agro-culture Industry

Investment projects to establish fish farms, clam farms and build pearl and fish processing plants

• Location: Stoung District, Kampong Thom Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$41 million

• Job creation: 2,939 jobs.

Industry

Investment project for gold mining and construction of processing plants

• Location: Sambour District, Kratie Province and Sandan District, Kampong Thom Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$31 million

• Job creation: 400 jobs.

Infrastructure and others

Investment project for the development of energy storage battery stations with a capacity of 500 megawatts / 1000 megawatt-hours

• Location: Krakor District, Pursat Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$244 million

• Job creation: 9 jobs.

Investment project for the development of a 100-megawatt solar power station 

• Location: Krakor District, Pursat Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$62 million

• Job creation: 26 jobs.

B. Inside Special Economic Zone

Industry

Investment project for the establishment of a non-ferrous metal ore processing plant 

• Location: Koh Kong Zhejiang Special Economic Zone

• Approximate investment amount: US$15 million

• Job creation: 200 jobs.
