CDC: Registration of 146 Investment Projects with a Total Capital of Approximately USD 2.5 Billion

146 investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately US$2.5 billion were registered in Cambodia in the first quarter of 2026.

In the first quarter of 2026, the total investment projects registered in Cambodia, both by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and the Provincial Investment Sub-Committee (PISC), amounted to 146 projects with a total investment capital of approximately US$2.5 billion and could create approximately 82,000 jobs. Of these 146 investment projects, 95 projects were registered by the CDC (60 outside special economic zones and 35 inside special economic zones) and 51 projects were registered by the CPSC.

In the first quarter of 2026, Cambodia can still attract major investment projects, such as the project to establish a special economic zone, the investment project to develop a wind power plant, the investment project to establish a car assembly plant, motorcycle assembly plant, and tire production plant, as highlighted in the prominent projects below. The presence of these investment projects will help to promote the excellent investment environment in Cambodia, as the Royal Government has been continuously implementing measures to respond to the global crisis that has affected Cambodia, aiming to maintain existing investments and attract new investments, especially to enhance Cambodia's competitiveness. 

The most prominent investment projects in the first quarter of 2026 include:

A. Outside the Special Economic Zone

Agriculture & Agro-culture Industry

Project to expand production and add a factory building for processing mangoes, cashew nuts, bananas, jackfruit...

• Location: Kampong Speu Province

• Additional investment amount: US$14 million

• Job creation: 2,201 jobs.

Industry

Investment project to establish a factory to produce noodles and ingredients for noodles

• Location: Kampong Speu Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$23 million

• Job creation: 804 jobs.

Investment Project for the assembly of automobiles

• Location: Kandal Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$11 million

• Job creation: 160 jobs.

Investment project for the establishment of a motorcycle assembly factory

• Location: Phnom Penh

• Approximate investment amount: US$8 million

• Job creation: 284 jobs.

Investment project for the establishment of a canned fish and fish sauce factory

• Location: Kep Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$7 million

• Job creation: 171 jobs.

Tourism

Investment project for the construction and operation of a 5-star hotel with 1,341 rooms

• Location: Svay Rieng Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$300 million

• Job creation: 2,060 jobs.

Infrastruture

Investment project for the development of a 150-megawatt wind power plant

• Location: Mondulkiri Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$200 million

• Job creation: 42 jobs.

B. Inside Special Economic Zone

Industry

Investment project to establish a factory for manufacturing tires and inner tubes

• Location: UBE SNOUL in Kratie Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$450 million

• Job creation: 3,528 jobs.

Investment project to establish a factory for assembling and assemble electric vehicles ''EV''

• Location: Pursat Special Economic Zone in Pursat Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$46 million

• Job creation: 611 jobs.

Infrastructure

Investment project to establish 4 special economic zones

• Location: 2 in Kampong Speu Province and 2 in Kampot Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$635 million

• Job creation: 1,286 jobs.
